Leadership is a calling, a purpose, and a responsibility for all believers. It takes prayer, worship, and devotion to serve God as a Kingdom leader. – Apostle Damian Hinton
And from Miletus he sent to Ephesus, and called the elders of the church. – Acts 20:17
What is an Elder?
An elder (presbyteros) is a person who is spiritually, emotionally mature, not just in years of life but also in spiritual experience. Elders are those who go before the people because the possess great wisdom, understanding, and revelation. As such elders are often sought for advice.
Elders also occupy themselves with caring, pastoring, feeding, and counseling people. They practice pastoral care in the local church. An elder may not be a public speaker but he or she must be able to teach, advise, and equip the saints with the word of God. Elders also guard the purity of apostolic and prophetic truth.
According to the scriptures apostles establish churches and it is the elders who ensure to maintain the purity and integrity of teaching the flock of God.
Elders are also responsible for instructing sound doctrine, protect the vision of the church, and to administer discipline when necessary.
Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood. – Acts 20:28

The Senior Pastor
At Life Changing Ministries the Senior Pastor automatically serves as an elder and, because of his public presence and responsibility before the congregation, may be considered first among equals as an elder. The Senior Pastor should be gifted primarily as a preacher/teacher and as a leader.
The Bible teaches that deacons lead by serving (Acts 6). The qualifications for elders and deacons are the same regarding an individual’s character, but they differ in aptitude. The elders are to be able to teach while the deacons are to be able and proved as servants.
The Deacons work under the authority of the Elder. They supply the spiritual and physical needs of the people. Deacons serve those in position of leadership and government. They lead the Bridge, the minister to the sick, the visit and strengthen families, they pray daily for the families of the church.
For those who have served well as deacons obtain for themselves a good standing and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus. – 1 Timothy 3:13
